Rajan House : Airbnb Photography

This boutique-stay experience was one of the most rewarding, as it involved not just photography but a collaboration of professionals from various fields, all working together to create something truly remarkable. Our journey with Rajan House began when the owners, Reena and Kushagra, approached us for a professional photoshoot.

They had been in conversation with us for six to seven months, meticulously planning each detail. Their Airbnb was set to be featured in a renowned publication, and they needed photographs with a strong architectural perspective—a significant departure from the hospitality-focused images they had before. This was a challenge we were eager to take on.

As an Airbnb Photographer in Jaipur, it’s crucial to understand the unique character of each property. During our initial recce of Rajan House, we realized that the space required thoughtful styling to bring out its full potential. The owners, pressed for time, trusted our judgment, and we recommended bringing on board a stylist, Aanchal from Aasa Concepts, whom we knew through her impressive work on Instagram.

Collaboration and Planning

Once we had our team in place, we formed a group where multiple discussions took place. It was essential to harmonize the vision of everyone involved—the owners, the architect and designer Bhavya Gaur, the stylist Aanchal, and ourselves. Each party had its perspective: the owners focused on hospitality, the architect on architectural details, and the stylist on aesthetic coherence. This diversity of thought made the project both challenging and rewarding.

Time was of the essence. The shoot had to align with the publication’s submission timeline, and we had to coordinate with multiple professionals, all with busy schedules. The date was finally set for a Sunday, after months of planning and aligning everyone’s availability.

The Day of the Photoshoot

The day of the shoot brought its own set of challenges. Jaipur’s monsoon season was in full swing, and the weather was unpredictable. As an Airbnb Photographer in Jaipur, we emphasize on the importance of natural light in showcasing interiors. Unfortunately, the heavy rains and overcast skies forced us to pause mid-shoot. We knew that the ambiance of Rajan House would be best captured in sharp, natural light, so we waited patiently for the weather to clear.

Despite these interruptions, we remained focused. We had already internalized the brief, understanding that the space’s essence lay in its repetition of patterns—a reflection of Reena’s background as a fashion designer. Every element, from the flooring to the upholstery, echoed a theme, creating a cohesive visual narrative. This attention to detail is what makes Airbnb Photography in Jaipur so unique, as every home tells a different story.

Seamless Cooperation

Initially, we were concerned that having so many people on set might hinder the hospitality shoot. However, our fears were unfounded. Each professional, from the stylist to the architect, worked in perfect harmony. Aanchal’s styling was spot on, effortlessly enhancing each space according to our brief. Even the clients were incredibly hands-on, assisting with small tasks like tucking in bedsheets without hesitation.

This seamless collaboration made the entire process smoother and more efficient, allowing us to complete the shoot within a single day. It was a rare experience where everyone involved was not only professional but also emotionally invested in the project. This level of dedication is something we cherish at Studio BluOra.

The Final Touches

Rajan House is a property filled with personal touches. The homestay’s design is a homage to the owners’ parents, with many elements deeply personalized. Each bedroom is themed with complementary colors—Blue-Red, Yellow-Apricot, Sage Green-Ivory, and Pink-White—creating spaces with distinct characters. The colorful terrazzo flooring, mirrored by painted ceilings, adds to the vibrant yet harmonious atmosphere. The bathrooms, finished with natural pigments, bring a fresh, earthy look to the space.

The most touching part of the house is the art, which includes letters sent by the owner’s father from Bombay and a portrait of him, making the entire space feel like a living tribute. As we captured these details, we could sense the emotional connection that everyone involved had with the project.

Looking Ahead

Now, as we wait for the feature in the renowned publication, we reflect on what made this shoot so special. It wasn’t just the beautiful design or the challenges we overcame—it was the collaboration, the shared vision, and the emotional investment of everyone involved. This experience has only strengthened our belief in the power of teamwork and creativity.

For those looking for Homestay Photography in Jaipur or a Property Shoot in Rajasthan, we at Studio BluOra are always ready to bring your vision to life. Rajan House was a testament to the magic that happens when passion, skill, and collaboration come together. We can’t wait to see where our next project takes us.
